Nice facility on the outside but the fact that the university charges $2250 PER class and then wants to charge me $10 per day for access shows what a racket this university has become. Definitely doesn’t serve its community. Mercer park aquatic center is the best place to lap swim in the Iowa City metro area!

Vast and beautiful rec center that's open to the public. $10 for a day pass and it's well worth it. 3 basketball courts, tons of weight lifting equipment and and a recreation pool area + lap pools and giant rock walls. There is surely more but what I noticed while here! NOTE: Pools closed 1:30 to 4:30

You guys should update your hours on your website and google! Google update it takes only 30 seconds to do it they even send you reminder for your hours in holidays. It said they are open today at 5:30 in website and google and when we get there there is a sign that said is closed.
